Process
How We Work
From your enquiry to documented handover to a licensed partner — four clear steps.
Green Shield Logistics is a licensed waste carrier — not a disposal facility. Our role is to ensure legal, safe and documented transport from your site to a partner licensed incinerator or landfill. Every step is governed by the Waste Management Act (WMA) and Ordinance No. 2/2014.

Enquiry & consultation
Contact us by phone +359 889 037 600, Viber or email [email protected]. Describe:
- Type of waste (medical, pharmaceutical, industrial, etc.)
- Approximate quantity (kg / units)
- Collection address and location
- Preferred collection period
If needed, we arrange an on-site assessment to evaluate loading conditions and packaging type.
We respond within the same working day. For urgent cases — immediately by phone.

Classification & documentation
Before every transport:
- We identify the waste code under Ordinance No. 2/2014 (e.g. 18 01 03* for infectious medical waste, 20 01 31* for hazardous medicines)
- We prepare the waste transport (consignment) document (TCD)
- We coordinate with the licensed receiving facility (incinerator or landfill)
- If needed — we assist with waste identification and packaging
The waste transport (consignment) document is legally mandatory when transferring waste between two parties under the WMA. We issue one for every transport.

ADR Collection
At the agreed time, our specialised ADR-equipped vehicle arrives at your address. The driver:
- Holds a valid ADR certificate
- Carries all required transport documents
- Performs safe loading in accordance with ADR requirements
- Ensures correct securing and labelling of the load
For hazardous waste (ADR class 6.2 — infectious substances), transport is carried out using approved containers and packaging conforming to ADR convention standards.

Handover with documentation
The waste is handed over to the licensed partner facility (incinerator for hazardous/medical waste or landfill for non-hazardous). At handover:
- The waste is weighed on the receiving facility's scales
- A weighbridge ticket is issued confirming the quantity
- The receiving facility signs the waste transport (consignment) document
- The client receives copies of all documents
The documents provided to the client are proof of lawful disposal of the waste — required during inspections by RIOSV, municipalities or regulatory authorities.
Licensed partner facilities
Green Shield Logistics works only with RIOSV-licensed partner incinerators and landfills. We do not hand over waste to unlicensed facilities. Our partners hold all the necessary permits for:
Medical incinerators
Incineration of hospital and medical waste (code 18 01) and expired medicines (20 01 31*/32)
Pharmaceutical incinerators
Disposal of medicines, food supplements and expired cosmetics
Licensed landfills
Landfill disposal of non-hazardous and municipal waste from municipalities, companies and industrial facilities
