How We Work

Green Shield Logistics is a licensed waste carrier and an operator of the destruction itself. Our role is to provide lawful, safe and documented carriage from your site to a licensed facility, and the controlled destruction of the waste. Every step is governed by the WMA and Ordinance No. 2/2014.

1. 

   Description of the batch

   You send a list or stock sheet: items, quantities, type of packaging, origin and the reason for writing it off. For unfamiliar materials, attach a safety data sheet or the formulation.

2. 

   Classification and worksheet

   We assign the six-digit code. If you have no approved worksheet for it under Annex 5 to Ordinance No. 2/2014, we help you prepare and file one with RIOSV.

3. 

   Documents and planning

   We prepare the identification document under Annex 8 to Ordinance No. 1/2014 where the waste is hazardous, along with the ADR written instructions. We agree the facility, the day and the time.

4. 

   Collection and destruction

   We load from your bay and hand over to the licensed facility: an incinerator for hazardous and medical waste, a landfill for non-hazardous. The batch is weighed, a weighbridge ticket is issued with the confirmed quantity, and the facility signs the identification document. You receive a copy of everything.

   These documents are your evidence of lawful disposal in an inspection by RIOSV, a municipality or another regulator.

Documents, legal compliance and codes

The activity is governed by the Waste Management Act (WMA) and Ordinance No. 2 of 23 July 2014 on waste classification. Transport is carried out by a party holding a registration document under Article 35(5) of the WMA; Green Shield Logistics operates under document No. 12-РД-2661-00, issued by RIOSV.

Which document accompanies the load depends on the type of waste. For hazardous waste the consignor prepares an identification document under Annex 8 to Article 12(1) of Ordinance No. 1 of 4 June 2014, together with written instructions for action in an emergency. For non-hazardous waste a load certificate or consignment document is used. Reporting and the provision of information go through the National Waste Information System (NIWMS), maintained by the Executive Environment Agency.

Questions and answers

When do goods become waste?

At the moment you release them: the holder discards them, intends to discard them, or is required to discard them.

Who is liable if something goes wrong in transit?

The waste holder is liable up to the point it is handed to a party holding the proper document under Article 35 of the WMA. That is why the handover is documented: the identification or consignment document is the point at which liability passes to us.

Can Green Shield Logistics destroy the products itself?

We take on the classification, the documents and the transport. The final destruction is carried out at a contracted licensed facility, an incinerator or a landfill depending on the code. For you it remains one contract, one contact and one document set. We name the specific facility up front, in the quote, and we carry the responsibility for your goods being destroyed.

Do you carry out a site visit?

For large quantities, mixed batches or unknown composition, we do. For uniform batches of known origin, the description and the stock sheet are enough.

Will you handle batches with a sensitive brand confidentially?

Yes. We collect with no intermediate storage and no standing time on a publicly accessible site, and on request we send the packaging for destruction rather than recycling.
